A New Adventure

Well, this is where Oliver and I will be living, for the next little while anyway. It's bitter-sweet to say that Oliver received a job with Frito Lay in Seattle. Although we are so grateful to have the opportunity to work for a great company and to be blessed with a great job (especially in this economy) we will miss our families and friends terribly! It makes me sad just to think about it, so for now I am going to enjoy every minute of the last couple months we have in Utah. Recently, we went to my mom and dad's and made gingerbread houses with the fam. It was so fun! We, well Kristen and I, decorated the houses while everyone else relaxed and watched ELF. I love everything about this time of year. I love the lights, decorations, spending extra time with family, and the focus that is centered around Christ. Recently I have felt the comfort of our heavenly Father more then ever. Between the constant worry of Poppy and the stress of thinking about moving away from everyone I love (except for my lover Oliver of course!), I have turned to our Savior for peace and direction. It's the only way to get through tough or scary times. It seems like every day I love and appreciate my family more and more. Oliver and I have both been blessed with the greatest families and I am so thankful for all the love and happiness they bring to our lives.

We can't help but adore her!

The Soph, all bundled up! Oh how I LOVE her! So, that's the latest news as of now. We are excited about our new adventure to Seattle. We also continue to pray for our Poppy!

Our November 2009

It's been a crazy month with a lot of fun things packed into it. I love November. I love the anticipation for the Holidays, Thanksgiving and the whole month of December waiting for Christmas. Let the good times roll....!
On November 11, Oliver's cousin Sarah got married to her love, Beau. It was such a great temple ceremony! I love going to temple sealings and actually being able to relax and listen to what the sealer is saying. It was an incredible experience.

This November, we also were able to go to a U game and stay in a box where we were able to eat lots of yummy food and hot chocolate! My kind of game.

Here we are with Swoop! Thanksgiving was a lot of fun! This year we ate at my parents house for dinner and it was DELICIOUS!! It was also extra special for me because it was my Birthday! 23 ahh! What a great day to celebrate my birthday, but with my family!!

Thankful Hearts

Tis the season to express gratitude, even though life is so much better when I do it all year round. But, because it is Thanksgiving this week why not write about it. I watched this today and loved it.
I have a special place in my heart for Dallin H. Oaks and anytime I hear him speak, I am touched by the spirit.
We are all in different stages of our lives, going through different trials and triumphs. I think it it important to remember that we are here to find joy. There is so much to be thankful for, even the simple things.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Halloween and Sophie's Blessing Day

The week leading to Halloween, Henry and Will were excited to try on their new costumes, Teletubbies! There was a red and purple one, but of course they wanted to wear the same ones that day :) These boys seriously make me smile and laugh so hard.

The day before Halloween they were a doctor "Dr. Cooley" and Muscle Man. They wore their costumes all day, even during nap time and loved it. It was so darling to see Henry walk around so proud with all his muscles.

Sophie's Blessing was Sunday, November 1 and it went so well. I thought for sure she would be wiggly and crying during her blessing, but she was wide eyed and quiet the entire time. In fact, the whole day she was such a good little girl. I made and decorated cup cakes for the after party :)

Me and my boys. Although there is always a constant argument about BYU and Utah, I love being around these two.

PJ party and Homecoming Queen

Congratulations to my sis-in-law AMANDA for making Homecoming QUEEN!! Yay! Amanda is a senior at Olympus High School and a few weeks ago had her homecoming dance. She looked so beautiful! The only picture I got with her crown on is dark, but you can see her a little bit as she rode past in the car at the Oly football game. Amanda is also the vice-president at school and we are so proud of her!

PAJAMA PARTY
A couple of weeks ago, I got together with some of my bestest friends to have dinner and watch a movie in our PJ's.... my favorite! It is so much fun to get together with my girls and talk and just have fun like the "good ole days". Teish is such a great host and her house is always so inviting. I think I feel so comfortable there that I end up eating all night long! :) Thanks Teish for having us over for such a fun night with your delish peach cobbler.

September

It was a busy, fun September! Starting off the month was my mom's birthday which I never posted about :) but we celebrated at home with the fam.
Oliver started his LAST semester of school before he graduates in December!! Whoop Whoop! It has been the BEST feeling to come home from work and NOT have homework to do.... ahhh

Kristen and Mark gave me an early birthday present and bought tickets for Kristen and I to see Keith Urban!! Oh it was such an awesome concert. He really is an amazing performer and super cute too :) Thanks for the fun night Kaky and Mark!!
Aubs and Jason were married on October 1 and it was awesome to go to the temple with them and then to sit in the sealing room and actually be able to listen to their beautiful ceremony. They are such great friends to Oliver and I and we are both so so happy they are now married!

I didn't get a good picture of her dress, but it was beautiful! She looked like a princess! Although their reception was ffffrreeeeezing, it was so gorgeous and everything turned out beautifully.

Oliver and I watched the twin boys that I nanny for, while the rest of the family went on a cruise for a little over a week. It was an eye opening experience, but so so so FUN! We took them to the zoo with Kristen, Mark and baby Sophie. It was so cute to see them watch the animals and get excited! My favorite was when Will kept saying "Look Zebwa! Look Zebwa!" ha ha so adorable!

The rest of the week was spent having fun and hanging out. I have to say I have a whole new appreciation for parents. Until I was with these kids 24/7, I didn't realize how much energy it took to be a mom. I am used to getting up, going to the gym, eating breakfast and then going to work with the kiddos. After work Oliver and I usually hang out, eat dinner and do whatever. This week was so different. I really loved it, but it made me realize how once you have kids, their life is your life and you work around their schedule getting up when they wake up, eating when they are hungry, etc.

These two are seriously so much fun and absolutely darling!! It is a blessing to be able to be around such happy little souls all of the time.

So, that was our September. We are so excited for the fall and all of the Holidays!!

Babies Babies Babies

I forgot to include the fabulous news that baby Jackson was born on September 13th! Oli and I visited him at the hospital and he is a handsome tiny little thing! We are so happy for you Teisha, Matt and Emmy. What a darling little family!

It is hard for me to make a baby post without including my favorite baby of all! SOPHIE and her chubby cheeks!!
